The University of Ottawa, along with your peers and guests, is preparing to celebrate your graduation at a ceremony that will take place between June 8 and June 12, 2025, at Rogers Centre Ottawa.
Before you can receive your degree, there are a few things to keep in mind.
First of all, you must register in order to receive your degree, whether or not you are attending your Convocation ceremony. For information on how to register, see Students about to graduate.
If you are expected to graduate, an email will be sent to your @Ƶ.ca address when online registration opens.
Once you’ve registered, your faculty will analyze your file in greater depth to confirm that you meet your program requirements. Once you’ve successfully completed them, your name is submitted to the Senate to be confirmed for graduation. If for some reason your degree is not granted at this time, you must resubmit the form to register for the next Convocation.
We appreciate that some students may be experiencing financial difficulties. Students owing money to the University of Ottawa do not require special permission to participate at the University’s graduation ceremony. Although they may attend the celebration, they will not receive diplomas, certificates, transcripts or enrolment verification documents (statements of studies, statements of degrees conferred).
