Makhena Rankin Guerin is a two-spirit hoop dancer with Anishinaabe/Algonquin roots on her mother’s side and French-Canadian roots on her father’s side. A member of the Abitibiwinni First Nation, she has been practising traditional hoop dance for over seven years, a medicinal dance that tells a story.

7:30 p.m.

The New Hires are an indie rock band from Ottawa known for their catchy hooks and energetic live performances.

8: 35 p.m.

With one foot in trap konpa and the other in Francophone rap, King H 509 delivers a show at the crossroads of genres, where the beats hit hard and the lyrics are rich in authenticity.

9:30 p.m.

With songwriting inspired by the burgeoning indie folk revival, instrumentation incorporating the rawness of Americana, bluegrass and country, and a rhythm and energy reminiscent of progressive EDM, MC4D’s sound sits alone in today’s music ecosystem.
