Marie-Eve Skelling Desmeules is a professor (long-term appointment) at the University of Ottawa. Originally trained in theatre performance at the École supérieure de théâtre (Université du Québec à Montréal), she continued her undergraduate and graduate studies at the Faculty of Education of the University of Ottawa before undertaking a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at Concordia University. She is also vice-president of the Société québécoise d'études théâtrales and a member of the Montreal Working Group on Circus Research.
