Jennifer Brunet

Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Physical Activity Promotion and Cancer Prevention

Professor Jennifer Brunet develops, implements and evaluates interventions to promote physical activity engagement among cancer survivors. She and her research team elaborate theory- and evidence-based interventions, which includes biological, physical, psychological and social concepts, to mitigate the adverse effects of cancer treatments and to improve patients’ outcomes.

Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing

Co-Founder of the Nursing Observatory, Professor Amélie Perron is recognized for her critical analyses of concepts related to nursing profession and practice, as well as for the education of nurses in Canada. She conducts pioneering research work on whistleblowing in health care settings.

Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Discovery Day

In May 2024, our new Lees Campus pavilion welcomed over 300 local high school students, who explored career options in medicine and the health sciences through presentations, panel discussions and experiential learning activities in our laboratories. Researchers from the Faculties of Health Sciences and of Medicine were on hand to support the Health Sciences Discovery Day, an event sponsored by the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.
