Biography

Christine Dallaire studies sports and physical activity from a sociocultural perspective, with a particular focus on Canadian society, youth and communities. Her current project compares the experiences of young adults (18–25 years old) involved in sports leadership roles, including in the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa, the Jeux de l’Acadie and the Arctic Winter Games. She has also developed expertise on the role of sports in the discursive construction of francophone and Canadian identities among youth across the country at the Jeux francophones de l’Alberta, the Jeux de la francophonie canadienne and the Jeux du QuĂ©bec.

Professor Dallaire will not be accepting students for thesis supervision until 2026.
