Interested in getting active? The Physical Activity Counselling(PAC) service are free to all students, faculty, and staff who are insufficiently physically active and/or want to increase their enjoyment of physical activity. To register for free PAC, please and we will match you with a counsellor as soon as possible.

Our objectivesÂ

- Organize and promote on-campus activities that contribute to employee well-being
- Act as the on-campus voice promoting physical and mental health
- Increase the number of employees who take advantage of on-campus facilities and services to stay healthy and active
Pedometer Challenge: Step out of the office and get moving May 12-18!
Here is how to participate:
1. Gather participants to join your team (we suggest 10 participants per team, but you may have more or less; it’s up to you);
2. Come up with a team name;
3. As captain, send the name of your team and the preliminary team members to [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025;
4. From May 12 -18, 2025 (all 7 days!), collect your team’s average number of steps with a copy of your Team Form (all your steps throughout the day count, from when you wake to when you go to bed). You may use the steps conversion table for activities other than walking (such as cycling, swimming, etc.)
5. Submit your form to Elizabeth Dowden ([email protected]) by Wednesday, May 21, 5 p.m.

A conversation doesn’t have to be in a boardroom, instead be on the move. Many of our inspiring thoughts and creative moments happen outside of these settings. Join the growing trend of holding meetings on the move.
When you schedule a meeting with someone, ask if they’d like to try doing it on the move!

Gym membership
Get your gym membership and work out at your convenience at the Montpetit Fitness Centre or at the Minto Sports Complex Health and Lifestyle Centre.
Join employee only classes or our lunchtime group fitness class, part of the all-inclusive membership a way to squeeze in some much needed exercise in your overly packed day.
Employee hours run from September to April, at the Montpetit Fitness Centre between 12 pm and 1 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the academic year.
